Programs

From counting to calculus, in one continuous path.

Year-long classes meet weekly from September through June. Summer courses run five weeks. Placement is by readiness, decided in a short conversation with the office.

School year classes

September through June

Tuition shown is the monthly figure across nine equal payments. Term and full-year figures are on the tuition page.

Kindergarten · age 5+

Early Mathematics

Counting, comparison, number sense and the vocabulary children need before formal arithmetic. One focused hour a week, the right dose at this age.

  • Weekly1 hour
  • Per month$120
  • Per class$30
Grades 1–4

Elementary Mathematics

Arithmetic fluency built alongside real problem solving. Children work through word problems, explain their reasoning aloud, and learn that a wrong answer is information rather than a verdict.

  • Weekly1.5 hours
  • Per month$180
  • Per class$45
Grades 5–12

Core Mathematics

The main track: fractions and ratios through pre-algebra, algebra and advanced high school topics. The sequence runs a step ahead of school, so class time is preparation rather than repair.

  • Weekly2 hours
  • Per month$240
  • Per class$60
Grades 7–9

Geometry

Plane geometry taught through proof — construction, congruence, similarity and circles, plus the discipline of writing an argument in which every line follows from the one above it.

  • Weekly1 hour
  • Per month$120
  • Per class$30
Grades 7–12

Algebra & Geometry

A combined three-hour track for students carrying both subjects at once, or moving into an accelerated high school sequence. The two reinforce each other when taught in the same room.

  • Weekly3 hours
  • Per month$360
  • Per class$90
High school

Calculus

Limits, derivatives, integrals and their applications, with the reasoning behind each kept intact. Suitable for AP Calculus AB or BC and for students heading toward engineering.

  • Weekly2.5 hours
  • Per month$300
  • Per class$75

Test preparation

SAT & ACT Mathematics

Two and a half hours a week across the full school year. Spreading preparation over months rather than compressing it into a few weekends is the difference between recognizing a problem type and being fluent in it.

Students work through the content the tests assume, then the specific ways those tests ask about it — pacing, question structure, and the traps that cost points from students who understand the mathematics perfectly well.

Publicly reported results from former Zelta students include 780 and 790 on SAT Math and a perfect 36 on ACT Math.

Private SAT/ACT tutoring is also available at $80/hour, or $55/hour semi-private.

One-on-one

Private & semi-private tutoring

For families who need a different pace or a specific subject. There's no registration fee for tutoring. Sessions are scheduled and paid in advance in blocks of four hours, and reduced rates apply to students already enrolled in a class.

Summer 2026

Five weeks, twice a week

June 29 through August 3, 2026. Short, focused courses covering grades 1–11, preparation for high school math, and contest-level mathematics. Classes are fun, engaging and effective over a short course.

Competition math

Math Kangaroo

Zelta Learning Center is a registered host site for Math Kangaroo, the international mathematics competition for grades 1–12, and has had students named among Massachusetts winners. Contest-level classes also run in the summer program.

Let's find the right class for your child.

Tell us their grade and what they're working on in school. We'll suggest a starting point — honestly, even if that means waiting a year or starting with tutoring instead.
